Newfoundland Day 18 – The Cabot Trail

Today we rode the Cabot Trail in Nova Scotia, subsequently heading west as far as possible.

Today, we ride almost nowhere, but we cover a lot of ground because we take the ferry from Newfoundland to Nova Scotia.

Yes, it’s going to be blustery and rainy, but we have ferry tickets to Newfoundland, so we’re committed today.

Taking a break from the bikes for a day, we tour some of the finer coastal points in Nova Scotia (at least those just southwest of Halifax).

We’re not traveling today, but we can still ride into nearby Halifax for lunch and a museum visit.

We had almost 500 miles and a border crossing between us and a few days staying with friends in Nova Scotia. Can we make it?
