While Copper Harbor was a popular and busy port back in its day, it was also a dangerous one. This view from the Brockway Mountain highway shows the mouth of the harbor to be filled with rocky outcroppings and shoals hidden just under the surface. There are dozens of shipwrecks just outside Copper Harbor. The Copper Harbor lighthouse is visible to the right.
