A view of the community and harbor of Copper Harbor, Michigan at the northernmost reaches of the Keweenaw Peninsula on Lake Superior. Lake Superior is to the far left. Copper Harbor is to the near left (Copper Harbor lighthouse is just left of center on the peninsula). Lake Fanny Hooe is to the right. Along the ithsmus between Copper Harbor and Lake Fanny Hooe is the location of Fort Wilkins, which was build to defend this popular shipping port. The view is from the Brockway Mountain highway.
