FerryFavoritism
Car ferries love motorcycles because they can put them just about anywhere and still get a full compliment of cars and other vehicles on the ferry. As a result, ferry operators encourage bikers to bring their vehicles to the front of the line. This was the line of cars waiting to get into the standard waiting area for the Port Townsend ferry to Whidbey Island. Because these cars had not yet reached the normal staging area, none of them would make the next ferry. I, on the other hand, rode directly to the front of the line and was immediately placed on the next ferry, which was beginning to unload as I took this photo. Ah, the advantages of riding a motorcycle!
