MtStHelensSummit4
A view of Mount St. Helens from the Johnson Ridge Observatory. Most of the entire view is covered in volcanic rock and ash, which is why very little has grown in this area since the 1980 eruption. While the summit of Mount St. Helens is shrowded in clouds, you can still see the front edges of the crater walls in the top of the mountain.
