When I awoke this morning, Idaho route 55 between Banks and Cascade was closed due to a wildfire in the area. By the time I traveled from Salmon, Idaho to Banks, Idaho, the road had been reopened. While the road was open, the air was still fairly thick with smoke. This is a view up the Payette River valley.
